Free Health Service Provided for Inundation in Kramat Jati

Health personnel conducted free health checks using a door-to-door system at the Al-Ishlah Mosque refugee post, Binawan Campus, Jalan Raya Kalibata, Cawang Urban Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.

The refugees who complained of health problems were immediately examined by a medical team from the Kramat Jati District Community Health Center. In addition to blood pressure checks, the refugees were also given medication tailored to their symptoms.

One of the inundation survivors, Rokayah (62), said she was experiencing dizziness and joint pain.

"I would like to thank the medical team who came directly to the refugee location to check our health," she said, Friday (1/30).

Meanwhile, Head of Kramat Jati District Community Health Center, Inda Mutiara stated her side deployed 10 health personnel. They consisted of four general practitioners, four emergency nurses, and two ambulance drivers.

"We assigned them to go around to refugee locations to carry out health checks on residents," she stated.

Inda added that her rank has also prepared midwives to monitor the condition of pregnant women and toddlers in evacuation centers. Furthermore, the White Troops team is on standby to assist the elderly and people with disabilities, including post-stroke patients.

The most common health complaints experienced by refugees included coughs, colds, itching, hypertension, and fungal infections.

"It was recorded that 85 refugees received health services, consisting of 25 people in Cililitan Urban Village, 40 people in Cawang Urban Village, and 20 people in Balekambang Urban Village," she explained.

According to her, the Kramat Jati District Health Center also set up a health post at the SDN Cawang 01 Building to serve refugees in the area.

"At this post, 10 health workers and one ambulance unit are on standby to anticipate the possibility of patient referrals to advanced health facilities," she stated.
